My design mojo still seems to be missing, so I am still just playing with basic geometric shapes and seeing what develops.

Fabulous Faces Week 5

This week's assignment was to use only one color (varying shades) to create your portrait, and include an object/animal/collage aspects.

Circle Clusters

It seems like most of my indoor time these days is spent sorting, cleaning, and throwing stuff away from my studio and my whole house. I am trying to declutter and simplify. I think I'm making good progress, the only downside is it feels like there isn't much time left for creating.

Fabulous Faces Week 4

This week the lesson was on a profile portrait. I had fun with this one, filling the hair with flower doodles.

I'm looking forward to the last two weeks of the class and more practice and play. I am quite amazed so far.

I've been enjoying the beautiful summer weather, and not spending as much time in my studio these days. I have crossed a few summery things off of my 25 list.

finding my way in lines

I've been feeling a bit lost lately. Don't know quite which direction to go.
I've been mostly drawing lately. People and imaginary creatures. I decided to get back on the computer, and created a very simple line drawing to play with.

It isn't a masterpiece, but it made my heart sing.

And when you can make your heart sing, especially after it hasn't been singing in while, it is a good feeling.

the time consuming world of blobimals

I am very slowly plugging away at the books we started making in the Blobimal class this week. It is a very slow process for me, and at times difficult, but it is a fun one.
