Well today I made a bathing suit cover up dress (I will photograph and post later this week) and then a Buttercup Bag, with a free pattern on Made by Rae. I love this pattern, it only uses 1 fat quarter of your outer fabric, and part of 1 fat quarter for your lining. Maybe next time I will use a bit heavier weight fabric, or some interfacing; my bag is quite a bit floppier than the one in her picture, but I am very happy with it. Its a nice size and tucks under your arm quite nicely. With some of my left over fat quarter I decided to make a matching notebook. This notebook has 100 pages of heavy weight paper and a button and ribbon to keep it closed. I really love how it came out!
Well one more day of creative free time before back to work. Thanks so much for visiting!

Taxi Tote
Happy Weekend! Last night and this morning I was working on my Taxi Tote, a pattern out of Seams to Me. It came out pretty cute, a bit bigger than I was expecting, but a nice bag size. I created an extra pocket inside with slots for 3 credit cards (I am constanting losing my credit cards in my purse). I think it will be an excellent size for travelling, its all ready for the trip to Europe I am planning.
I spent my afternoon trying to practice with my camera for this week assignment for Maggie Holmes photography class. (On a positive note, I am now shooting in Manual Mode - yay!) My camera was driving me completely insane, so I had a mini break down. I am recovering now and getting ready for my next sewing project! Hopefully will be back tomorrow to share that one! Thanks for visiting!

Color Challenge
Well Happy Thursday. I decided to play along with a color challenge with Just us Girls to try and get my creativity back. I had fun with this card, and I used some of my new Stampin Up stamps. I dont have a burgundy stamp pad, so I went a bit more purple.
Well thats it for today, I have a three day weekend coming up and lots of creating planned! Thanks for visiting!

Creative Slump
Well I seem to be suffering from a creative breakdown. I figured I would share a quick card I made recently for my mom while I wait for my creative passion to return to me.
I have a ton of projects I want to do this weekend, and I have the whole weekend all to myself, so I hope my creativity comes back before then! Thanks for visiting.

Stitching Challenge
Hello & Happy Wednesday (its a happy day because I dont have to work tomorrow!) I wanted to play along with the challenge on "Just us Girls" to add stitching to a card. This was a fun challenge for me, I have become a sewing addict over the past couple of months!
I wanted to use some of my new fabric as the focal point, and I just did a zig zag stich around the piece of fabric.
Well thats it for me! Thanks for visiting!

Color Throwdown
Well tonight I had an hour in between my tv shows, so I was planning to tidy up my crafting area. I sat down and figured I would just check my email first. Before I knew it I was cruising blog land, and of course found a challenge I had to play along with. And of course, the challenge ends tonight at midnight. So obviously now my desk is even more messy, but I did make a super quick card to share.
I would normally never put orange and pink together...so this one was a real challenge for me! Anyways, thanks for visiting!
Have a great week!

Color Challenge
Happy Happy Weekend! Yay its Friday!! Brown and aqua is one of my favorite color combo's, so I had to play along with Dawn's color challenge this week. I had more paper cut and scored ready to be made into another little notebook, so I decided to use Dawn's colors for a little book. I couldn't decide on a quote to put on the front...so I left it blank for now. I'm not sure it needs any words, or maybe its too plain?

Joy!
Good Morning! Today I am happy happy because last night I finished making a little journal, and I taught myself a new method of binding. Journals are one of my favorite things, so I love making them and finding new ways to make them!
I saw the quote on my Auntie Kim's blog, and I loved it so much I had to use it on something!
This morning I am busy playing with my camera. I am taking Maggie Holmes photography class, and this is the first week.
I am hoping to play along with Dawn's color challenge this week, so hopefully will have something cute to share in the next couple of days.
Thanks for visiting!

Scraps!
The other day I was inspired by Nichole's post using scraps, so I made a super simple card using a few scraps I had laying around.
I like how bright and happy it turned out. Well I've been puttering around at my craftin' table lots, but no other finished projects to share right now. Thanks for visiting!

Happy New Year!
Wow January already! I'm back from my little break of blogging. I've been creating today, I havent had much creating time lately, so I have a backlog of ideas that I am working on.
This little brown box was waiting for me on my desk at work when I came back. It had a few chocolates in it, so I ate them all up, and then I made a simple belly band for the box. Much prettier now, and perfect for a little gift.
I got a bunch of old books from my grandpa's house this christmas, to use the covers for journals and such. Now I am trying to find uses for all the pages in the books, so I cam up with this super simple idea of paiting over the words and stamping on it. I think they look pretty , but I'm not sure if they look too "messy".
