Circus Elephant
I haven't done much digital work lately, but I sketched up this simple little guy and I'm quite pleased with him.

a little baby gift
I needed a simple little baby gift, and I didn't have much time to invest in a design. I took my dragon pattern and reworked the letter background to include the letters in baby's name, and put my favorite little dragon in front. And here is my little society 6 onesie.
I was a bit disappointed in the colors, they seem a bit muted. I'll have to do a bit more experimenting.
I printed off a little congratulations tag, and wrapped it up with some twine.
I always love seeing my designs on 'real' things. I hope it makes the new parents as happy as it's made me!

The Little Crocodile
How Doth The Little Crocodile
Lewis Carroll
Lewis Carroll
How doth the little crocodile
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
Improve his shining tail,
And pour the waters of the Nile
On every golden scale!
How cheerfully he seems to grin,
How neatly spread his claws,
And welcome little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!
How neatly spread his claws,
And welcome little fishes in
With gently smiling jaws!

she flies through the air
In Maui, I climbed to the top of a very high ladder, to a very small platform, I stretched way out and grabbed a heavy bar, I bent my knees, someone yelled "HUP", and I jumped from my platform, and flew through the air on the flying trapeze. (I also screamed the whole way).
This was one of the funnest, most amazing things I've ever done, and I highly recommend running away and joining the circus!
And here is a little graphic I've made up, inspired by my favorite photo, and a quote that I now adore.

And, here it is on some lovely products in my Society 6 shop!

a piece of a painting
A couple weeks ago I turned a photograph of part of my painting, into a card. I quite like how even though that part of the painting doesn't exist anymore, I still have this lovely card design. I put it together with some hand-doodled wrapping paper as a little gift for one of my favorite Auntie's birthday gift.

seeds of happiness
Today was a mixed bag. Some really fun moments, and a lot of frustrating moments. One of the good parts was creating these little seedlings of happiness.
And now I'm off to eat cookie dough and drink margaritas.
Cheers!

secret garden
This girl, in her secret garden, bloomed in my sketchbook. I hope to paint her someday, but for now, I turned her and her little garden into a digital creation.
It was fun to play with a digital face, but I still think I prefer the original sketch.

arrowheads
My design mojo still seems to be missing, so I am still just playing with basic geometric shapes and seeing what develops.

Circle Clusters
It seems like most of my indoor time these days is spent sorting, cleaning, and throwing stuff away from my studio and my whole house. I am trying to declutter and simplify. I think I'm making good progress, the only downside is it feels like there isn't much time left for creating.

finding my way in lines
I've been feeling a bit lost lately. Don't know quite which direction to go.
I've been mostly drawing lately. People and imaginary creatures. I decided to get back on the computer, and created a very simple line drawing to play with.
It isn't a masterpiece, but it made my heart sing.

It isn't a masterpiece, but it made my heart sing.
And when you can make your heart sing, especially after it hasn't been singing in while, it is a good feeling.

little cartoon cuties

I doodled my pup into a little cartoon character (wearing a top hat of course). I quite adore him. So then I needed to create a little kitty softpaws (the crazy cat that lives upstairs).
It was fun to just play with some digital stuff, as I have been away from my computer for a while.

Photo Inspiration: Gazoo
Gazoo is my little Pomeranian friend. He belongs to one of my best friends. For her birthday I decided to try to make a little Gazoo graphic.
